I have taken a long hiatus from my blog to concentrate on my certification for Biblical counseling. I am happy to say that I am almost…
God doesn’t expect us to just forget our pain. But He doesn’t want us to focus on it so much that we lost sight of Him.
I want to glorify God with my life, and His Word says we glorify Him by being thankful. “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving,” (Psalm 69:30).
When we wonder why God isn’t doing anything about our suffering or about the evil in the world, we can rest in the certainty that He already has.
As I look forward to the New Year, instead of longing for things I think I want, I am grateful for what I don’t have.
God didn’t leave us as a free little mouse, forgiven and released from our trap but still destitute in the cold.
There is new grace for every goal. New mercies for every mistake. New strength for every struggle.
The sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross was enough to cover ALL sin, even that dreadful one.
How many times have I failed to turn to the light of God’s Word to help me see more clearly?
